Remedy Extract in Zomeo Homeopathic software

Remedy Extract is a feature of Zomeo to extract symptoms from the repertory for a given set of remedies. This feature is also referred to as ‘Reverse Materia Medica’, which helps you to quickly find the symptoms for the given remedies from any repertories.

Let us take the example of remedies Lycopodium and Silicea to extract symptoms of Coryza from Chapter ‘Nose’ of Complete Repertory to understand the utility of Remedy extract. To specify it, select remedies ‘Lyco’ and ‘Sil’ for ‘Coryza’ keyword.

You can extract symptoms based on the following features in Zomeo Software:

  • All Rubrics for the remedies

This option of Remedy Extract allows you to find all symptoms of selected remedies. To start with, select remedies and repertory chapters from which to extract symptoms. Optionally you can specify ‘Symptom Keyword’. Select ‘All Rubrics’ from Extract Options and you will see list of rubrics with the keywords specified for the remedies selected.

  • Common Rubrics for the remedies

This option of Remedy Extract allows you to find common symptoms of selected remedies. Select remedies and repertory chapters from which to extract symptoms. Optionally you can specify ‘Symptom Keyword’. Select ‘Common Rubrics’ from Extract Options and you will see list of rubrics with the keywords specified for the remedies selected.

  • Unique/PQRS Rubrics for the remedies

This option of Remedy Extract allows you to find Unique or PQRS symptoms of selected remedies. PQRS symptoms are those which have only one remedy. Select remedies and repertory chapters from which to extract symptoms. Optionally you can specify ‘Symptom Keyword’. Select ‘Unique/PQRS Rubrics’ from Extract Options and you will see list of rubrics with the keywords specified for the remedies selected.

  • Differentiating Rubrics for the remedies

This option of Remedy Extract allows you to find symptoms which are unique to any of the selected remedies. At least two remedies should be selected for differentiation. Select repertory chapters from which to extract symptoms. Optionally you can specify ‘Symptom Keyword’. Select Differentiating Rubrics from Extract Options and you will see list of rubrics with the keywords specified for the remedies selected.

  • Single Remedy Rubrics

This option of Remedy Extract allows you to find a symptom which has a single remedy. To start with, select repertory chapters from which to extract symptoms. Optionally you can specify ‘Symptom Keyword’. Select ‘Single Remedy Rubrics’ from Extract Options and you will see list of rubrics with the keywords specified for the remedies selected.

  • Extract Group Rubrics

While extracting symptoms you can select the remedy mark and symptom levels. For Example, if you want to find common rubrics for remedies Lycopodium and Silicea with only 4mark remedies and showing only 2nd level symptoms with regards to coryza, select options accordingly and you will see list of rubrics with such specification for the remedies selected.

Moreover, while extracting symptoms, you can specify a desirable drug mark and symptom level number.

  • Extract Symptoms From Repertory Screen

You can also look for ‘All Rubrics’ and ‘PQRS Rubrics’ for a selected remedy from the repertory screen. With this feature, you can check the other symptoms covered by the remedy in the same repertory chapter.
